Q + A
Q : What is Poor Lost Bread? Why did you change names?
A : Poor Lost Bread was my first plush project I started in early 2007—a line of plush French themed pastries + other edible delights.
Creep Mouse Toys is my newest hobby, which involves the familiar characters of Poor Lost Bread, with a slightly different take on plush using a larger variety of high-quality materials (recycled whenever possible!), and producing more unique pieces--as in less (quantity) of more (variety). As well as experimenting with other mediums besides plush, as you can see...
Q : Do you do wholesale or consignment?
A : As soon as I get into production (June-ish) I’m willing to partake in both, just contact me if you’re interested in either, and we’ll figure out which option is best for the both of us!
Q : Do you do custom orders?
A : Just as long as I have both the time and the potential ability, I see no reason why not. If you’d like to special order something contact me and we’ll see what we can work out.
Q : Can I use your pictures in one way or another?
A : Probably, but please ask me first!
Q : Are your toys safe for kids and/or animals?
A : Depending on the toy. Some toys have small parts and should not be given to young children or animals to prevent the horrifying things that I don’t want to admit plush toys have the ability of doing. Other toys do not have small pieces, but if you have any questions feel free to ask me, and I can offer some suggestions or perhaps even a custom “chew-safe” toy could be put into production.
Q : Hmm, my question wasn't answered. Where can I ask more questions?
A : Right here!
About me + what I do
My, oh my. It all started when my mom taught me how to sew. I was around the age of 8 (American Girl Doll years). In addition, I picked up a few sewing classes in middle and high school, but I was never very focused on being a textbook-seamstress. Although I find "how to" (sew, stitch, draw, etc.) books very interesting and informative, of course.
I'm hoping this site and blog will serve well as a showcase of not only my final products but also how they change and grow as I do and the kinds of mischief I encounter along the way.
Anyway, I’m delighted you stumbled across my site, and into this little self-explanation. I hope you enjoy what I make + what you see and read, and if you have any questions or comments please, just let me know and I’d be happy to hear them and respond.
